This is a unique opportunity for someone who has a basic understanding of AutoCAD and is looking to develop their skills in a supportive, professional environment. You will receive training and mentorship to develop expertise in structural drafting while working on a variety of residential projects, including engineering for new builds, relocations, and renovations.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Drafting designs for a variety of projects in residential design.
• Learning and applying AutoCAD drafting techniques with mentorship from experienced professionals.
• Collaborating with engineers, designers, and project teams to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Supporting the preparation of project documentation to ensure designs meet industry and client standards.
• Gaining exposure to structural engineering principles with the potential to advance into design roles.
What We’re Looking For:
This role is ideal for someone motivated, eager to learn, and looking for a long-term career in drafting and engineering.
• Background in the building or construction trades (carpentry, formwork, etc.) will be advantageous.
• Eagerness to learn AutoCAD and develop drafting skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• A Certificate IV in Engineering Design, Building Design, or Drafting is desirable but not essential.
• Highly organised, proactive, and keen to develop a career in engineering design.
