Established in 1928, O'Connor Ruddy & Garrett Solicitors is a boutique Brisbane CBD law practice focused on providing our clients with professional service and tailored solutions in Succession Law (wills and estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation) and Property Law. The firm values building understanding, trust, and success in their client relationships.

They have a long established and exceptional client base that has been created through good, honest and realistic advice. The firm deals with all aspects of succession law including,

  •  Estate planning (including wills and testamentary trusts)
  • Estate administration (including advising executors, administrators and beneficiaries)
  • Contentious and non-contentious estate litigation (including family provision applications, solemn form proceedings, interpretation or rectification of wills)
  • Guardianship and administration matters (including enduring powers of attorney, proceedings at the QCAT and advice to attorneys, guardians and administrators in relation to the exercise of their powers)
  • Superannuation disputes.

 

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated, capable and loyal Administration Assistant. You will be providing all-round general administration support, record management and reception duties. Your ability to learn tasks quickly, apply initiative, attention to detail and exceptional people skills will be the key to your success.

You will be working 3 or 4 full days each week – so it will be ideal for a current University Student…….or an experienced Receptionist/ Administration Assistant wanting work-life-balance.

We’re looking for someone with initiative, attention to detail and a flexible common sense approach, and are willing and able to take on any task that is required.

 

Your skills and experience:

  • Strong customer service skills, ethical standards, confidentiality, and sense of loyalty.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
  • MUST HAVE – Strong spelling and punctuation skills.
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to use common sense and initiative.
  • Ability to provide support to a team of professionals and to prioritise effectively.
  • Understanding of the importance of deadlines and ability to meet them accordingly.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • High level personal presentation.
