Ainslie Group incorporates Ainslie Bullion Brisbane, Ainslie Bullion Melbourne, Ainslie Crypto and Gold & Silver Standard as well as the majority shareholding of Reserve Vault in Brisbane and The Melbourne Vault.
- Established in 1974, Ainslie Bullion is the second largest independent bullion dealer in Australia.
- Ainslie Crypto is an OTC crypto dealer that specialises in swapping between crypto and bullion as well as cold storage services for clients.
- Gold & Silver Standard manage Ainslie’s own 100% gold and silver backed crypto tokens - Gold Standard (AUS) and Silver Standard (AGS) and the custodian Gold Silver Standard Custodian.
The role
Continued growth for the Ainslie Group requires the creation of a new role for an experienced and capable Assistant Finance Manager to work closely with the Finance & Systems Manager and the small finance team.
You will be a driven finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, business acumen, core systems and process skills, and an ability to work closely with a small finance team to mentor and develop them.
Whilst your technical skills and knowledge are pertinent, it is your positive, dedicated and forward thinking and proactive HANDS-ON approach that is critical. Your enthusiasm and desire to produce efficient and quality outcomes will be called upon.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and review management accounts in compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and shareholder interests.
- Support Assistant Accountants with accounts payable, including supplier payments and USD settlements.
- Assist in receivables management, reconciliations, and aged debtors oversight.
- Develop budgets and financial tools (e.g., BEP, NP%) to manage costs and guide decision-making.
- Prepare and lodge monthly/quarterly BAS.
- Provide concise monthly and quarterly KPI reports to the CEO and business unit managers.
- Collaborate with external accountants and auditors on EOFY accounts.
- Assist in preparing annual Board reports with key financial metrics, business insights, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Update and present reports for businesses with external shareholders as required.
- End-to-end payroll fortnightly processing (44 employees and growing).
- Ongoing proactive identification, development and implementation of process and system improvements.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce / Accounting or other related field.
- Commercially savvy self-starter who can achieve a high level of efficiency and accuracy.
- Proven experience and capability utilising ERP’s for accounting purposes – Ideally NetSuite.
- Demonstrated capability to carry out the Key Responsibilities outlined above.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with an appreciation of deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of personalities to ensure efficient communication.
- Enthusiasm, commitment, and loyalty.
- Positive, friendly and outcome focused.
- Proven ability to positively mentor, train and manage a small team.
