About the Role
We're looking for additional awesome techs to join the Grassroots IT team. We're only a small team, so every single team member has a big impact; we need the right person, and we need you now!
Based out of Wilston, we’re looking for experienced Level 1 Support Technician ready for a change…..OR a super driven recent Graduate [Cert 3/4, Diploma or Degree] with strong customer service experience (ie retail, hospitality etc) and is the "go to" person for friends and family with their IT issues.
You'll be hands on with everything from remote support to onsite and project work - covering servers, desktops, networks, you name it.
You'll need a great can-do attitude, and love working directly with clients. We want to grow. Do you?
What skills and qualities are we looking for?
- Outstanding customer service skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Don’t apply if you’re not confident and capable in this area!!
- The ability to think logically and solve problems accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work in a team environment as well as work autonomously when required.
- Demonstrated experience working within a customer service focused role (even as a casual) with a demonstrated stable employment history.
- Ideally you will have completed (or currently undertaking) relevant formal studies in Information Technology.
- A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office.
- Experience with file & print sharing, general network management and remote management tools.
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as firewalls and routing.
- Exceptional level of honesty and hardworking approach.
- Commitment to learning, taking direction and continuous improvement.
- Previous service desk experience working with business clients.

- A commencing salary of $50-$55K plus superannuation will be offered dependant on qualifications and experience. (A higher salary may be negotiated with a more experienced and exceptional candidate).
