About the Role

We're on the hunt for an experienced tech who is eager to join the Consulting IT team as a final escalation point, supporting our L1/2 teams, and working with our senior staff on complex issues or projects. You will also help coach juniors and acts as a technical lead.

 

Essential Experience & Skills

·         Minimum 5+ years in an MSP or complex internal environment, where troubleshooting is key

·         The ability to communicate technical concepts to different audiences (junior techs, end users, client management)

·         A desire to learn new tech, and solve problems for the first time

Any relevant industry or Microsoft/vendor certifications would be a bonus but are in no way required.

Experience with Powershell/scripting, Azure Automation/Power Platform or similar would also be highly regarded.

 

Your typical day could involve:

·         Resolving support tickets escalated from our L1/2 teams

·         Server & cloud environment troubleshooting

·         Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory administration

·         Security improvements, incident response

·         Networking/VPN/Connectivity troubleshooting, changes and improvements (Primarily Fortigate Firewalls Teltonika routers, and Ubiquiti switching/wireless)

·         Complex End-User service, application & device troubleshooting, finding the fixes no one else can

·         Working with a wide range of customers, technologies and varied environments

·         Responding to high priority monitoring alerts or incidents

·         Documenting what you’ve solved, to share knowledge & experience through the team

·         Assisting with improving processes, automation, and finding better outcomes, both internally and for our clients.

·         Helping the rest of the senior team on larger projects, as well as taking the lead on smaller ones

 

What sort of person are we looking for?

·         Ability to independently and intuitively assess and diagnose/troubleshoot complex issues, as well as communicating & documenting the solutions

·         Attention to detail and the ability to follow-up & follow through

·         Ability to work independently, and to learn while working remotely

·         Excited to work with new technologies and systems
