About the Role:

This is an OPPORTUNITY for a driven professional to expand their experience across criminal, professional misconduct and domestic violence law……The role offers plenty of variety and exposure to full file management. 

You will work with clients throughout all stages of their matter to obtain instructions, build a solid working relationship, maintain communication, provide outstanding legal advice and legal services……..to achieve excellent outcomes for clients.

Naturally as part of this role, you will attend Brisbane and regional courts (mentions, solicitor advocacy work, sentences and instructing barristers during trials) along with appearing in tribunals, commissions and inquests.

To fit within the existing team, you will bring the ability to combine a natural factual data driven approach with empathy and understanding……and strong outcomes focus.

 

Your skills and experience:

  • Min 2years PAE
  • Ideally demonstrated experience in end to end file management in at least 1 of the following:
    • Criminal Law
    • Professional Misconduct across numerous regulated professions
    • Domestic Violence Law
    • Judicial Review
    • Coronial Inquest
    • And More
  • Good Work ethic – criminal lawyering is demanding and will at times require out of hours commitment
  • Strong attention to detail while having a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional client focus with proven ability to genuinely listen and empathise with clients and ensure everyone is provided with a professional service
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to use common sense and initiative
  • Ability to take instructions, be adaptable and have a flexible can-do attitude
  • Enthusiastic & positive with an excellent TEAM and big picture focus
