You will play a key role in navigating the complexities of their businesses and private affairs, ensuring the delivery of exceptional tax compliance and advisory services.

You will provide strategic income tax advice and manage complex client relationships. In this role, you will have the chance to work alongside industry experts, developing your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tax Compliance: Preparation of tax compliance documents for a broad range of entities, including individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships. Ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns, including income tax, GST, FBT, and PAYG obligations.
• Tax Advisory: Provide technical income tax advice, focusing on tax planning, structuring, and compliance strategies to meet client needs.
• Client Relationship Management: Manage and nurture client relationships, offering advice on business structuring, tax minimisation strategies, and financial governance.
• Financial Statements & Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements for clients across various industries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Business Transactions & Structuring: Advise clients on business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring, with a focus on minimising tax exposure and optimising financial structures.
• Submissions & Audits: Prepare submissions for the Australian Tax Office (ATO) and assist clients with tax audits and reviews.
• Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with the latest tax law changes and industry trends, ensuring that all advice and compliance work reflects current regulations and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with partners and other senior team members, contributing to the overall growth and success of the firm.
Skills and Experience:
• Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce, Accounting, Law, or Finance
• Professional CPA or CA accreditation
• 5+ years of experience working in an Australian accounting firm
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on client relationship building
• Expertise in Division 7A, CGT, FBT, and PSI matters
• Experience with Xero Practice Manager will be HIGHLY REGARDED
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A 'can do' attitude and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
