Gnech and Associates are a busy boutique law firm in Brisbane City specialising in criminal and professional misconduct law.  The firm is Brisbane based, however we represent clients in most courts across Queensland.  

We are looking for applicants wanting to start their career in criminal law who are admitted, or who have completed PLT and will soon be admitted.   

This role would involve task-oriented work as well as taking responsibility for case file management with supervision.  We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  

The role

This role would include the following duties:

• Attending Brisbane and regional courts for mentions, solicitor advocacy work, sentences and instructing barristers during trials.
• Depending on experience, appearing in tribunals and commissions.
• Working with clients throughout all stages of their matter to obtain instructions, build a solid working relationship and maintain communication.
• Providing outstanding legal advice and professional legal services to achieve excellent outcomes for clients.
• Legal research and writing (with a particular focus on written submissions).

Requirements

The successful candidate will need:

• a QLD practicing certificate or the ability to apply for one
• a QLD drivers license and access to a vehicle for regional court attendances
