The role

We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Assistant Operations Manager to support the Melbourne Operations Manager in leading and coordinating day-to-day operations across customer service, dispatch, inventory, and compliance. You will play a central role in team leadership, regulatory compliance, and driving commercial outcomes across bullion and crypto transactions, ensuring a seamless, secure, and customer-focused experience.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist the Operations Manager to lead and support a high-performing, customer-centric team
  • Assist the Operations Manager to oversee operational procedures across customer service, dispatch, and inventory
  • Work with leadership to drive innovation, efficiency, and commercial success
  • Ensure compliance with AML/CTF, ASIC, and OH&S requirements
  • Promote and manage bullion and crypto transactions, including redemptions and swaps
  • Collaborate with Risk & Compliance to implement best-practice frameworks
  • Support HR and cultural initiatives aligned with Ainslie’s values

 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Strong leadership and people management skills - Proven ability to positively mentor, train and manage
  • Sound financial and operational acumen with attention to detail
  • Experience in precious metals or cryptocurrency sectors (preferred)
  • Excellent relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong computer literacy (Excel, NetSuite, Xero experience valued)
  • Proven understanding of regulatory environments, particularly AUSTRAC and ASIC
  • Integrity, initiative, and a commercial mindset
