The role
We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Assistant Operations Manager to support the Melbourne Operations Manager in leading and coordinating day-to-day operations across customer service, dispatch, inventory, and compliance. You will play a central role in team leadership, regulatory compliance, and driving commercial outcomes across bullion and crypto transactions, ensuring a seamless, secure, and customer-focused experience.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the Operations Manager to lead and support a high-performing, customer-centric team
- Assist the Operations Manager to oversee operational procedures across customer service, dispatch, and inventory
- Work with leadership to drive innovation, efficiency, and commercial success
- Ensure compliance with AML/CTF, ASIC, and OH&S requirements
- Promote and manage bullion and crypto transactions, including redemptions and swaps
- Collaborate with Risk & Compliance to implement best-practice frameworks
- Support HR and cultural initiatives aligned with Ainslie’s values
What you’ll bring:
- Strong leadership and people management skills - Proven ability to positively mentor, train and manage
- Sound financial and operational acumen with attention to detail
- Experience in precious metals or cryptocurrency sectors (preferred)
- Excellent relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong computer literacy (Excel, NetSuite, Xero experience valued)
- Proven understanding of regulatory environments, particularly AUSTRAC and ASIC
- Integrity, initiative, and a commercial mindset
